Crazy Night

Okay so I know it has been way too long since I posted and I know I said that last time. So here you go this is the most exciting thing that has happened to me in the last little bit. The other night that I was at work and well. Long story short. I delivered a baby all by my self for the first time. The midwife didn't make it into the room in time. I just about pooped my pants. I saw the baby start to crown and despite the many, many deliveries that I have assisted in, I looked down and thought...WHAT IS THAT?!?! THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!! Anyway at the end of the day everyone survived and all was well.

It's been too long

Okay so it has been almost six months since I updated my blog. Just about every time I see my friend Nikki she gives me grief about not updating. So since I updated last I started working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse in Salt Lake. I love it! It is fun and exciting and crazy and stressful and hard and about a hundred other things...it keeps life interesting. It was a major mile stone in my life to get a pink name badge, only those who work in the women's center get a pink tag, and it has been a goal of mine for years. I am still living with the parents after my impromptu move back to Utah last fall. Anyway there are more updates to follow.

St. Patricks Day

I don't know why but I love, love, love St. Patrick's Day. It may be that all things green are acceptable and things that were never meant to be green are dyed. Breakfast of Lucky Charms and green milk, green meatball sub for dinner it all looks unappetizing and slightly disgusting, but it I love it. My friends and I made shamrock sugar cookies... it was a blast! I guess this is all proof that the simple joys of life are the best!!

Quick Update

So my last few posts were "hey I moved to Arizona". Well yes that was true but now I moved back to Utah. I got a nursing job in Labor and Delivery and couldn't say no. Especially because I was not finding anything in Arizona. So here I am. In a matter of two weeks I applyed, interviewed, Moved back, and started working. So it has been a busy couple of weeks. Any way that is the short story maybe I'll come back to the long sometime but for now I don't have time.

This is where I live.

So I figured that I should post pictures of where I live since my mom is the only one who has been to my new place. From the front it looks pretty typical for Arizona...mostly rocks.

But the backyard is somewhat different. It looks like a tropical get away. We have two grapefruit trees and a lemon tree...they smell amazing.
The lady who owns the house loves to garden and build...she built the gazebo and laid the brick path by herself and talks about about it like it she had tons of fun doing it.

I thought about cleaning my room before taking a picture to share with the world, but anyone who really knows me wouldn't have believed I lived there. This is what it looks like most days...on special occasions it is clean and on laundry day.

Adventures in Arizona...Moving In

So neither Jill nor I wanted to move a bed to Arizona so we both brought air mattresses. As we were blowing then up we noticed a small difference. Let's just say if they were cars mine would be a Rolls Royce and Jill's would be similar to a Geo Metro.

We also discovered that our house is covered in Geckos. Having then outside is one thing but having them come in is not my favorite thing ever. Those things are wicked fast.

Yeah so...I moved

So I know it may have come as a shock to some people that my address suddenly changed to Arizona. The short story is that one of my EFY friends, Jill, was moving here and needed a roommate and I needed to find a place to live. And after that everything else just fell together. The long story is about the same but there was more freaking out involved. The move was terribly eventful unfortunately. We started out with a couple of Jill's friends driving a truck with a trailer full of our stuff. They broke down just outside of Beaver, Utah. The upside to that is we got to stop and sit in the giant rocking chair at Chevron

After that we had the good fortune to find another truck we could use so started again the next day. Turns out that the girls driving the truck took the long route, a two and a half hour detour to Flagstaff then down to Pheonix. They weren't very happy once they arrived to say the least. Then on the way home they broke another truck near Beaver again. I hope that they are still Friends with Jill after all of this.
